Planning & procedures prior to renovating is just as important as the renovation itself.  Did your contractor protect aspects that weren't going to be renovated?  Did your contractor ensure the mess did not spread to other areas of your home?

I am a firm believer in value vs. cost and why taking the cheapest price is not always in your best interest!  Are you getting what you pay for?  Someone taking the time to set up their project properly, protect your home, and ensure some effort towards cleanliness will incur additional costs, so they are likely to be more expensive than a company that doesn't!  Wouldn't that be well worth the extra little cost to the project?  In my experience, it makes a huge difference!
