Chris is a graduate of the Architectural & Building Technology program at SIAST's Palliser Campus (now Saskatchewan Polytechnic) in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.  After graduating in 1999, he had various self-employment ventures within the drafting & residential design fields.  He even spent some time in construction, working for a general contractor that he designed a few homes for.  Chris joined Envision Drafting & Design Ltd. in 2003 where he was properly mentored in home design & construction drawings.  In 2008, Chris ventured out on his own again, creating CJ Evans Home Designs.

Chris grew up in many parts of Saskatchewan.  With parents who were transferred around the province, the family lived in Yorkton, Kamsack, Kindersley, Swift Current, Moose Jaw, and Pilot Butte.  There were many schools along the way, with high school attended at Central Collegiate in Moose Jaw and Greenall School in Balgonie.  As a young adult, Chris joined the Canadian Forces Reserves upon graduating high school and worked with Radio Shack Canada in Yorkton & Moose Jaw before getting his post-secondary education.  He maintains many connections with friends and family in these various communities!

Volunteerism has been important to Chris & his family.  Personally, he has been involved with instructing drummers for marching band, coaching volleyball at the high school and club levels, has occasionally taught at the elementary school level, and has volunteered with the School Community Council (SCC) at his daughters' elementary school for nearly a decade.

When not designing homes or watching CFL football, Chris enjoys amazing food, good drinks, fantastic company, entertaining concerts, and travel to the US & Caribbean!  With what little time is left over, Chris enjoys odd jobs around the house and finding new adventures around the Canadian Prairies!
